Swim Course:

Swim Portion: A 250 meter "outdoor" swim will be conducted in the Virginia Run pool.

Race Start: The start of the race will be staggered. One racer will be started every 10-15 seconds. Racers will be seeded according to "estimated 250 meter swim time." There will be two starting points (odd #'s at one end of the pool, even #'s at the other end); each swimmer will complete two lengths of the pool in each of five lanes. After swimming up and back in a single lane, the swimmer will duck under the lane lines and swim in the next lane - up and back -- proceed for a total of five lanes. Exit the pool.

After exiting the pool, carefully (please don’t run on pool deck) move toward gate exit, turn left and proceed up the hill to bike transition area.

Estimated Swim Start Information: Each participant will have "one" and only "one" opportunity to change their estimated swim time. Changes to your estimated swim time must be submitted to Shandra Richardson by May 1, 2007. The race directors and timing company will not have time to change everyone's estimated times more than once. We suggest going to a local pool and timing yourself for 10 lengths of the pool (250 meters) at your race pace and using that as your estimate. Therefore, no one will be allowed to change their swim time after May 1, 2007.
